Beautiful Rainbow Beach
If you’re not the relaxing type, or just want a change from sunbathing, a day trip to World Heritage listed Fraser Island is highly recommended. Or visit the coloured sands and Double Island Point, both just moments away from your apartment. You may want to try surfing along beautiful Rainbow Beach - don’t worry if you’re a beginner - we can arrange Surf lessons and board hire. Other activities and must-sees include Whale Watching and Feed the Dolphins, Carlo Sand Blow – a beautiful piece of Nature’s sculpture, rainforest walks, camel treks and horse riding along the pristine beach, as well as fishing, sailing, wind surfing, scuba diving, bowls, tennis and golf. Rainbow Beach is an emerging, small coastal community located on an unspoilt sandy shoreline sweeping along the northern side of Double Island Point, and nestled just below the southern tip of Fraser Island. The township sits on a north-facing beach, 60km north of Noosa Heads and is bounded by the extensive Cooloola National Park to the south. Rainbow Beach is accessible by car with a three-hour drive from Brisbane, or daily commercial flights to Fraser Coast Airport and Maroochydore Airport with one and a half hour coach drive to Rainbow Beach or by air with scenic 25 minute connecting flight from Noosa, Maroochydore or Brisbane.
